when we hear that song we will dance
I don't think I'm supposed to be updating as I have not received word from [livejournal.com profile] orang3ling, quite literally, but I'll make do without.

I've come to a few minor conclusions in the last twenty four hours. One being that I am exceedingly fond of having words float around in my head. Especially pretty words like coquettish that intrigue and puzzle me, and that I'd much rather tackle NaNoWriMo than revise (or rather teach) myself economic theories and cram data into my head like some sort of number processing machine.

I used to have a sort of passion for Economics. Something I greatly excelled it. Perhaps it was the thrill of excelling and hunger to know everything I possibly could, since I topped it with ease. It thrilled me to actually understand the financial reports on the news and to understand why things happened. I paid attention to aspects and details of ordinary every day life that I'd either never really understood, or just never really noticed. But then, the fill in teacher happened. And I no longer hold any interest in Economics and I'm doubting even Commerce, my university preferences. I'd much rather take a gamble on something literary. So, I am. And that just about justified my not studying for my Economics exam.

Well, I did actually study. If you count reading two chapters of the textbook and flicking through the rest, plus glancing over a case study, studying.
Lesson learned. Don't be cocky for an exam. It makes studying hell.

On a brighter, much more amusing note )
On the NaNoWriMo front, so I haven't made the biggest dent or best progression... but hey, today alone I managed to get three people to join me in the challenge :] I can't be too badly, right?

And that concludes today's routine bore.
